Why Nolan

Built around the way you actually train

Free up your time

Log a set in seconds and stay in the session. No thumb-typing while your rest clock runs down.

Track accurately

A 250+ exercise database, with tracking that matches the movement type.

  • Weight × reps
  • Reps-only
  • Timed holds

Personalized recommendations

Insights drawn from your own history, not generic programme templates written for someone else.

The difference

Why lifters stop logging

It's never the tracking they hate. It's the twenty seconds of thumb-typing while the clock runs on their rest.

What lifters are saying

Finally stopped losing my sets

Used to forget half my working sets because I couldn't be bothered typing. Now I just call it out and keep moving. Rest timer stays honest too.

Marcus · 12 Jun

Phone stays in my pocket

Hands-free mode is the whole thing for me. Chalk on my hands, headphones in, I just say the set and it lands. No unlocking, no scrolling.

Dev · 3 Jun

Actually understands gym talk

I say "incline dumbbell 70 for 10" and it puts it in the right place every time. Tried two other apps that made me tap through four menus for that.

Tyrell · 28 May

PRs I didn't know I hit

It flagged a bench PR mid-session and I genuinely didn't clock it. Seeing the 1RM line climb over twelve weeks is stupidly motivating.

Sam · 21 May

Knows my split better than I do

By week three it was already queuing up the right day and my usual lifts. Barely have to tell it anything before I start.

Owen · 14 May

Fast enough to actually use

Logging takes about three seconds so I never skip it. That's the bit every other tracker got wrong for me. It was always easier to just not log.

FAQ

Questions lifters actually ask

Does it work in a loud gym?
Yes. Nolan is tuned for gym noise: plates, music, chatter. It works best when you speak at a normal conversational volume with the phone in your pocket or on the bench. If a set gets misheard, correcting it is one tap.
Is my microphone always on?
No. Nolan only captures audio during an active logging session that you start, and iOS shows its system indicator the whole time. Nothing is recorded in the background. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
What happens to my voice recordings?
Audio is sent over an encrypted connection to our backend, transcribed, parsed into a set, and then deleted. We don't keep an archive of your recordings, we never sell them, and we don't use them for advertising or voice identification.
Switching from another app?
You'll be able to import your workout history from other apps and sources (CSV/exports) so your training comes with you.
Do I have to say it a specific way?
No. "Bench 185 for 8", "8 at 185 on bench", and "185 times 8 bench press" all land the same. Follow-up sets can be as short as "same again" or "add 10".
Can I still type a set in?
Always. Voice is the fast path, not the only path. Every set can be entered, edited, or deleted by hand, which is useful for machines with odd names, or when you'd rather not talk.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. Export your full history to CSV at any time. Your training data is yours, and there's no lock-in if you decide to leave.
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Cancel any time in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancel before your 1-week trial ends and you're charged nothing.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. That removes your account and training history for good. Note that deleting your account doesn't cancel your subscription. Do that with Apple separately.
